Published: 19th May 2021

Great family days out in and around The West Midlands!

It’s nearly time for another half term (31st May - 4th June 2021) and we’ve found some great family days out for you to enjoy in the West Midlands from fun fairs, a zoo right on our doorstep and jump-tastic boing zones!

Digbeth Funfair

Roll up! Roll up! The fair is in town, or just outside in Digbeth. There’s fun for all the family, with three dedicated zones; kids, family or extreme - if you fancy taking to the skies of Birmingham (we’ll be waiting firmly at the bottom!). Open everyday in half term, check out their website for full opening times.

Sheldon Country Park and Farm

A park and a farm together, what could be better...it’s all free! The playground is a secure area for the kids to play, before treating yourself to an ice cream from the cafe. Next up, Old Rectory Farm with cows, pigs, goats, ponies and pigs, it’s a fantastic budget friendly day trip to tick off the list during May half term.

And if you fancy walking a little further you can get to Birmingham Airport viewing area, so you can get an up close view of some of the planes taking off and landing.

Cannon Hill Park

Cannon Hill Park, is labelled as Birmingham’s best day out and it’s not hard to see why, with so much to do. Hop aboard the land train, enjoy the fun park attractions, take on the golden putter golf course in 36 holes of madness, visit the nature centre or take a trip out on the boating lake in a swan pedal boat.

Boing zone

Need the kids to burn off some energy during half term? Boing Zone in Halesowen is the place. With their new outdoor inflatables and trampolines, it makes a great day out for all the family. Be sure to book your sessions online before you visit.
